I know I haven't posted in a while. I'm sorry D:. We've been busy filming, schedule making, etc. So far, we have filmed scenes 1, 4, and 5. I believe we are going to try to get 6 and 3 filmed ASAP. There are also certain parts we would like to refilm. At 2 Scene 2 is going to be filmed on Sunday at Morgan's house, because she has a balcony thing there. So far, everything's going pretty well. Bye :D

Meeting

Today, we met with Mr. Hyer's room again. We talked about making a balcony, which thank to our prop guy, is possible, but we have to get the materials for it. Now we'll have an actual balcony for our balcony scene. We also talked about keeping on task and making sure we keep everyone on focus. :D

Act 1 Scenes 2-7

Nobody knew why Romeo was so dreary, so Lady Mantague told Benvolio to find out. Romeo told Benvolio that he was in love with a girl named Rosaline. Meanwhile, Paris asked Lord Capulet for permission to marry Juliet. Lord Capulet said that Juliet was to young, but if she fell in love with him, he would give his permission. He told him that he should woo Juliet at the upcoming party he was throwing. Juliet was approached by her mother about falling in love with Paris. Romeo, Benvolio, and another Montague, Mercurio went to the party uninvited. At the party, Romeo and Juliet fell in love.

As a director I would have to make sure the actors acted their parts seriously. I would want them to show the appropriate emotions. We don't want our gloomy Romeo smiling, or making his sulkiness look sarcastic. I would have to make sure that the dance scene was handled so it looked like a modern day dance, but kept the formal flare.

Act 1 Scene 1

Basically, what happened in this chapter was the Capulets and Montagues got into a fight. It started out with them yelling insults at each other, but it led to them fighting. Then, the leaders of the families started yelling at each other too. But, they all got caught by the law enforcement, and were told if they fought again, then they would be arrested.

I will try to make sure that the crew makes sure to show the Lords and Ladies as very regal figures. I hope that they don/t just make them taller/ more important looking. I hope that the actors really depict themselves as leaders.
